• How can work experience help your business English? Obviously your language skills will hugely improve but let’s not forget that a work placement in Britain will give you an invaluable insight into the real British workplace.
• A work placement in a foreign country will also add weight to your CV as potential employers will be impressed by your independence, ability to adapt and use your initiative as well as your flexibility in being able to work in an international environment.
• At Active English Academy, we have established strong relationships with a variety of companies both in and outside Manchester and thanks to these links we are able to give our students the chance of having a work placement in one of the many business sectors available (engineering, manufacturing, textile, hospitality, law, travel, etc.).
• If you would like a work placement within a British company, dependent on your entry level we require you to take
  Course B for a minimum of 4 weeks or Course C for 2 weeks. We strongly recommend that to get the best from your work placement your stay should last a minimum of 4 weeks.
• We need a minimum of 6 weeks notice in order for us to secure the most suitable placement for you in terms of your requirements.
• As a rule, work experience is unpaid but in certain cases, such as in the hospitality sector, the national minimum wage may be offered to you.
