About the programme

Course A is perfect for business students, executives and managers, this course will improve your professional Business English language skills. We strongly recommend this Foundation Course to students whose English is below level B1+ (see Levels) and who aim to join Course B (Intensive Business English).

Programme objectives:

• Increase confidence and oral fluency
• Increase language accuracy to enable clear communication of ideas
• Increase understanding of grammar
• Strategies for following the main points of spoken English.
• Strategies for clarifying and checking unclear information
• Understand how to work efficiently in a multi-cultural environment

Programme content:

The focus will be on improving confidence in speaking, listening and understanding in a business and social context. Activities will be practical and varied to ensure students have every opportunity to participate in a multi-cultural environment.

You will learn the vocabulary and grammar structures you need for communication in the business environment e.g.

• Introductions
• Describing a company
• Describing trends – past and present
• Predicting
• Describing products
• Comparing products
• Describing processes
• Telephoning
• E-mails
• Entertaining customers
